Rapture 05:12
Breathe. Breathe. Learn to sink. Learn to swim. Learn to lose. Learn to win. Learn to fight. Learn to die. But most of all, learn their lies. Breathe. Just breathe. There are friends of terror here, deep below these waves, bidding you to swim along or swallow up your grave. But as you reach the wretched shore, there death will shift his eyes. If you wish to see the day, remember, learn his lies. What lies? You have nothing to fear, for you are man. All terror will die and man will reign. Long live the man, whoever you be. We serve you with grace, whatever it means. Those who you hate let us hate them more. The tongue and the eye: our weapons of war. Indulgence: our vice. Contentment: our name. Pleasure: the prize. Careless: the game. We serve those who bid with selfish demand. No gods. No kings. No laws. Only man.

Teeth 03:50
You must be new. You must be used. You must be sick of stumbling around. Well I got good news, yeah, I’m here for you. Just don’t forget I’m the one who runs this town. These streets are cold and mean, but their bricks made of gold are worth everything. I can share if you like, but it comes with a price. Always cheap, yes, but never free. But maybe you’ll fair fine, alone in moonless night. On second thought, you’re better off just sticking with me. Who knows what kind of trouble you could get in if we give up on this company? Around here, the wolves that lead all wear the latest sheep. Around here, the one who gets the final say bares the sharpest teeth. And that’s me. You better stick with me. I must oblige to be your guide, your ignorance will find you dead. It’s sad, it’s true, but hear me you: instead of killed I’d rather get you fed. I’ll make you rich, I’ll make you mine, I’ll make a prince out of the poor. Hand me your soul, and nothing more, And I’ll show you worlds with open doors. Oh, alone you may fair fine as you tempt these streets at night, while the thought of our goodbye brings terror to your mind. Around here, the wolves will tear right through the toughest meat. That’s why, around here, I always keep the sharpest teeth. You better stick with me. I bare the sharpest teeth.

Stammer 04:55
First one in. Last one out. Out is not a way you think about. (What’s there to think about?) When you’re the on the top. (Top me off.) Nobody here to cross. (No point to stop.) I’m drinking my own blood. Is it strong enough to get the job done? I’m drinking my own blood. Am I strong enough, strong enough? First one in. (First one in.) There’s no getting out. (What’s there to think about?) But who would try. (Top him off.) There’s no die. Slowly. Killing. Time.

Regicide 04:06
There are no kings who we will not kill ‘til there are no laws which we have not willed. There are no priests, no scriptures we’ve read, that we haven’t burned to keep ourselves fed. Lift your torches, raise them high, let’s see the red that fills your eyes when anger breeds itself in love for self-respect and hatred of a life that’s led with terror’s cause. We will not sleep ‘til we are the gods that we want to be, no matter the cost. Fake or real: I do not care as long as I am happy where I am. And god has never seemed to give me what I want, so please, just tell me why you thought you could call me yours, when there’s nothing I’d do with your name? You just bring me more shame. The cup I share with you tonight speaks nothing toward my will. Patiently I wait for thee, the king I aim to kill. Betrayal’s not betrayal if I never trusted you and if you think I’ll spare the rod, it’s furthest from the truth. Regicide. The King must die.

Company 06:07
A cheat is a creature, who thinks himself wise when he can outwit all the truth with a lie. But a fool is a man who proves worse than a cheat, when he knows he’s been had, but still wants to believe. And this is my only truth, so listen up close and listen real good. In this tale, as sad it was, I was the cheat and you were the fool. And it always ends this way: the surprise and the fear on your face. Screaming, “I can’t believe this is fair,” but what’d you expect when you’d dared to trust me, and bet your own life by the size of my teeth? Did you think, “We’re a team”? You thought wrong. Step back. Reflect. You’re alone. You are to blame. Reap what you sow. So it’s time to pay my dues and thankfully I’ve got you. Nice and young, full of blood that burns hot, and here’s the best part: ‘cause they're not gonna know, when you’re dead and dust, that you’re really with me, the demon you trust. But don’t worry ‘bout friends, there’ll be thousands more. Fools just like you, who trade love in for scorn. Did you think, “We’re a team”? You’re damn wrong. You are damned, like me: my only sense of company. Fettered in fear, you will be: my company. My misery.

The Man 02:15
So this is feeding with the swine? So this is compromise, for sake of compromise? If there’s a lord behind these lies, then I am smallest of his flies. They say that terror comes when we are found alone, lost in the cracks of broken floors in empty homes. If there’s a God who sweeps the dust out of this place, then let him clean, let him sweep this man away.
7.
Who? Who are you? You call as if I’ve something to gain by saving necks that ought to be hanged. In fear of your death, you turn from your ways, but do you fear me or the gallows you face? And know, it’s not the same. There’s only one fear that sets a man free, true terror you found, but do you believe? I am the flare behind every star. I am the pulse that drives every heart. The pendulum swings as I keep the time, if I skip a beat, a universe dies. You think you know fear, ‘cause you know deceit? You think you taste wrath, ‘cause you taste defeat? You think sin was birthed, and ruined my plans? You think death was stolen from out of my hands? You think me a fool, when you can’t explain, how thoughts of a God are searched for in vain? Well, who is this man who calls on my name when I first called him son, and he first called me shame? You need not sew, the tale I know—your silence speaks truth well enough. And the terror you found, but friend, hear me now, most of all: learn my love.

Kowtow 04:15
And silence becomes me—a fitting retreat, as I’m crushed by the feelings of fear and of peace. What have I done to know of this love? These cowardly hands soaked in royalty’s blood. As strange as it seems, a king on his knees calming his killer is a beautiful thing. I drop the dagger I laced with my sin. “I’m sorry,” I cried and he managed a grin. “Though forgiven,” he said, “there’s still death to be paid. You’d never swear by a god, but you’ll swear by his grave.” And silence becomes me. A question that begs: Who is this king who gives life to the dead?

Art of War 03:01
Now face to face with a demon I helped raise, it’s now your turn to be betrayed. I’ve seen the truth: the king you couldn’t kill and my throne, you failed to take. And now I know just who I am, in spite of lies, the better man. And now I’ve learned the art of war starts with knowing just where you stand. Now hear you me: I will not give to pain or perjury. My fears are buried deep. And if you think that I would be your slave again, then you forgot who bears the shackled hands. And now I know, that your way with words doesn’t change the fact you only speak in lies. And now I know, the only tale a dead man tells, is one of self-demise. And now I know, just where we stand. No need for lines drawn in the sand.
10.
New Eyes 03:57
Like glass, I melt. I cower with slow, stubborn eyes like a jealous brother. But still you wait for me. You shape; you mold; burn patiently. And I don’t know what scares me the most: walking those flames or that ghost that you’re tearing out, stealing from me with every new breath on the coals. You carry me home. Slow burn: refining the ways that I die. Slow burn: igniting the fire in my eyes. Slow burn. And when I awake I will find I am changed. No longer deaf to the cries of the lost and the lame. And though I am weak, I am willing and I stand. ‘Cause I’ve learned that the weight of the soul is in the death of the man. And together we’ll go. We’ll carry them home.
11.
Atlas 03:41
(Sinking. Fighting.) On a good day you'll find me, lips to the surface; reaching for solids these waters can't be. But in spite of the soil, in spite of the sun, my work is my god and my god I'll become! (Just breathe) But there's no relaxing, just toil and bending, working and praying my work works for me. How can I let go? Take comfort in your hope: in a king who gives freely and asks nothing of me? How can I know? (Just breathe) How can I let go? (Just breathe)
12.
(Rapture) 05:49
So come now Vinedresser and press out the wine of this old rotten soul that’s now ripe with new life. If they ask if I’m scared, tell them I’m terrified, ‘cause I know that I’ll die a free man, and I’m just not sure what that’s like.
